Victoria’s Famous Yarra Valley
There is so much to do in the Yarra Valley, a one hour drive from Melbourne and into one of the world’s best wine producing regions. Choose from Wine Tasting Tours or a selection of other organised tours and attractions, or do a self-drive tour.
The first vineyards in the valley were planted in 1838 by the Ryrie brothers at their property now known as Chateau Yering, over 100 wineries are now established in the fertile soils.
Healesville Sanctuary is another famous attraction, close up encounters with some Aussie creatures such as the Platypus are all part of the experience.
The Valley has a 40 km bike and walking trail, known as the ‘Warbie Trail’ from Lilydale to Warburton, we also have some of the best hiking in the state and beautiful rainforest walks to keep visitors busy for days.
